The following are the Rules and Regulations of DANCE CENTRAL  performing arts, LLC.  Please read this carefully, it is to be signed by both the parent and student.

 
TUITION POLICY:
 .  Tuition payments are based on 10 months, and are broken down into 5 payments,
   for your convenience, as follows: 
 
   1.  Upon registration (September & June Tuition plus Registration Fee)
       JUNE TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE
   2.  Week of October 5, 2009 (October & November Tuition)
   3.  Week of December 1, 2009 (December & January Tuition)
   4.  Week of February 1, 2010 (February & March Tuition)
   5.  Week of April 5, 2010 (April & May Tuition)
 
.  There are NO REFUNDS for missed classes.  Any class may be made up in an
   alternate class.   Please note that this year’s calendar allows for 4 cancellations of any
   kind.   If we miss more than 4 days due to weather, teacher illness or emergencies, the
   class will either be rescheduled or you may make it up in  another class time.
 
.  Please check our website or call the studio answering machine (845 627-0595)
   for school closings.
 .  All tuition is due the first week of the month.  Tuition paid after the 10th of the month
   will be subject to a $25.00 late fee.  There is a $30.00 charge for each returned check.
 
.  We do not mail out monthly bills.  We follow the schedule posted above.  If a late fee is
    imposed, it must be paid.  If it is not paid, it will be added to the following month’s tuition.
 
.  There is a $30.00 Annual Registration Fee.  No Registration Fee charged for siblings.
   Register by September 1 and receive $10.00 off your registration fee.
 
.  Tuition, costumes and all outstanding balances must be paid in full in order to pick up
   costumes and purchase recital tickets. 
 
.  A copy of the school calendar, is posted on our website.
 
.  We will be holding a “Bring your Friend to Dance Week” the week of October 6 to 10.
    You are invited to bring as many friends to class that you like during that week.  If your friend
    joins Dance Central, you will be given 10% off your 2010 Costume Bill.
   
  
 
GENERAL POLICIES:
 
.  All class placement is left to the discretion of the Artistic Director and Instructor.  At any time,
   we reserve the right to change a student’s class based on appropriate age and/or skill level.
 
.  Every child is considered to be a registered student of  Dance Central performing arts, LLC
   until the recital in June.  Therefore, you are responsible for tuition, costume payments and
   any other expenses until that time.  If your child stops dancing, for any reason, you must notify
   the studio by telephone, and Certified Letter to the Administrative Director.  You will continue
   to be responsible for all expenses until that time.
 
.  Substitutes will teach class if regular instructor is unavailable.  Schedule is subject to
   change. Classes will be closed when full. Each instructor determines class size.  We must
   have a minimum of four students in order to keep a class open.
 
.  No more than one absence is permitted per two month period, unless accompanied by a
   doctor’s note.
 
.  Students should arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled class time.  Dancers should be
   dressed in proper dance attire and hair must be up in a secure bun or pulled away from
   the face appropriately.  No jewelry is allowed to be worn in class
 
.  The dress code is verbally discussed with Administrative Director at the time of registration,
   and a copy has been posted our website.
 
.  Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will be asked to leave class, this will be
   considered an absence
 
.  No cell phones allowed in class.  Cell phones must be turned off and left outside the
   classroom.  Please call the office phone to reach your child during class time.
 
.  No food or gum chewing is permitted in dance room.  WATER is the ONLY  beverage
   permitted in the dance room.
 
.  Dance Central performing arts, LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
 Safety Policy:

 Our student’s safety is of primary importance.  Parents/Guardians should arrive to pick up their child before the class ends.  All students should be picked up on time and should not be left in the studio. Please make sure your child does not leave the studio without Parents/Guardians consent.
.  Students are not permitted to leave the classroom without the instructor’s permission.
.  Students are not permitted to leave the studio during class time.

      
RECITAL AND COSTUME INFORMATION:
Recital Date:  June 26, 2009 – 11:00 am and 4:00 pm
   
   Location:  Rockland Community College, Cultural Arts Theater, Suffern, NY
 
 .  A $50.00 per costume deposit is due by November 1, 2009.  Balance due by March 15, 2010.
   Costumes will not be ordered for any student unless a deposit has been received.  If we receive
   your deposit after the studio costume order has been placed, the student will be responsible for
   the separate shipping charge and we cannot guarantee that the student will receive the costume
   in time for competition and/or recital.
 
.  If your child is enrolled in our school as of November 1, 2009, a costume deposit is required.
   Costumes will be ordered for all students as of that date, and you will be responsible for
   payment in full, even if your child leaves the school for any reason.
 
.  The cost of recital tickets is $18.00 each.  There is a minimum of 4 tickets per student.
   6 tickets if a sibling attends the school.  There is no maximum.
 
. 
Ticket Sale Date and Costume Hand-Out Date:

  
    Costume Hand Out Date – April 3, 2010.
    Children must be present to pick-up costumes.
 
    Ticket Sales Date – April 24, 2010.
    The minimum tickets are required to be purchased in the studio on ticket sale day.  Tickets
    will continue to be sold through Dress Rehearsal.  Additional tickets may be purchased the day
    of the show at a cost of $20.00 each, based upon availability.  There will be assigned seating.
    Tickets are first come first served
 
.  A pass for Dress Rehearsal will be given when tuition, costumes, minimum amount of recital
   tickets and any other outstanding balances are paid in full.  The pass is required for entry to
   Dress Rehearsal
 
.  Dress Rehearsal Date:  Tuesday, June 22, 2010.  Dress Rehearsal is mandatory.
   Attendance will be taken!!
 
.  In May, order forms will be available in the studio or downloaded from our website, for the
   purchase of Recital T-Shirts, Flowers and Ads to be taken in our Recital Program.

 PICTURE DAY:

 .  Pictures will be taken at Dress Rehearsal.  Group pictures will be taken at no charge
   to you. Packages for individual photographs will be available directly through the
   photographer.  DVD’s may also be purchased directly from the photographer.
 
COMPETITION AND WORKSHOPS:

 Dates will be made available as soon as possible.  In order to be eligible for Competition Classes a minimum of four weeks of summer classes were mandatory.  If you did not complete your four weeks of summer classes you must attend the mandatory Saturday workshops.  Letters explaining workshops will be sent home as soon as possible.  Workshops will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 and Saturday, March 13, 2010. Tween, Junior and Senior Company students are also required to take the two Master Class workshops which will be held at Dance Central.  Modern Instructor Andrea Kron will be teaching at the studio on October 22.  Please keep that date open. 
 
Second mandatory Master Class at Dance Central:  Instructor and Date to be Determined
 
We will also be attending a Workshop in New Jersey, date to be announced as soon as available.  This workshop is highly recommended to all Company Students.
 
 PRIVATE CLASSES:

 .  Only one private per student may be performed in the recital.  Privates are only given with the
   approval of the Artistic Director.  Taking a private class does not automatically make you
   eligible to dance with the instructor.  Students do not perform with instructors unless given
   permission from the Artistic Director.

If any of these rules are broken, the student will be addressed by the Instructor and the Artistic Director.  Parents will be notified.  Student may loose recital, competition and Company privileges.
